Foundational Equine Acupressure
A practical, confidence-building course for owners — and a powerful personal-use refresher for professionals. This course does not offer a certification and does not provide the in-depth knowledge required to integrate into a professional business.
This foundational acupressure course is thoughtfully curated to make equine acupressure clear, approachable, and immediately usable. Whether you’re a devoted horse owner wanting to support your horse’s well-being at home, or a professional looking to strengthen your personal practice and foundational understanding, this course gives you the why, the where, and the how—without overwhelm.
You’ll begin with an easy-to-understand introduction to equine anatomy, complete with quick-reference notes that help you orient yourself to the body before applying acupressure. From there, we gently build into acupressure theory, explaining what acupoints are, how they work, and when (and when not) to use them—covering benefits, contraindications, and real-world applications.
The course introduces you to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in a way that feels grounded and practical. You’ll learn essential terminology, understand the flow of energy, and be guided through an introduction to channels and meridians, supported by clear equine meridian charts so you can visualize and follow the pathways with confidence.
Safety is woven throughout the course, with specific guidance on working safely with horses, reading responses, and respecting physical and energetic boundaries.
From there, you’ll move into hands-on acupressure with horses, learning how to:
• Follow structured protocols
• Apply emergency and general well-being protocols
• Address common health concerns with targeted acupressure
• Work through a dedicated laminitis protocol, including a supportive educational articleYou’ll study specific and significant acupoints, their actions and indications, and which ailments they may influence—helping you move beyond “point pressing” into intentional, informed application.
To support the body as a whole, the course also includes:
• Warm-up massage techniques before acupressure
• Stretching protocols to follow treatments
• Multiple stretch demonstration videos to guide correct techniqueFinally, you’ll see acupressure in action through clear demonstrations, including:
• How to perform acupressure step-by-step
• Massaging along meridians
• Meridian massage demonstrations and an updated technique videoAnd because real horses don’t always fit textbook examples, you’ll also have the option to request protocol guidance if you need help supporting your own animal.
✨ This course is not about replacing veterinary care—it’s about empowering owners and practitioners with safe, supportive tools that enhance comfort, connection, and overall well-being.
If you’ve ever wanted to understand acupressure rather than just memorize points, this foundational course was created for you.

"A very informative and helpful course to better understand the basics of acupressure for horses... and so much more, including print outs and detailed demonstrations. Recommend checking it out.” - Gina
"I've been hitting the acupressure points for seizures every other day, and honestly I think he likes it. When he's having a seizure, I can't always grab the torch, but pressing on those toe pads on the hind feet have stopped the seizure within 30 seconds. We're now out at 27-29 days consistently between seizures, and they have become more mild. The recovery time is also remarkable, we've seen the last two where he wasn't stumbling and bumping into everything like a drunk monkey. After 3 years of too many medications and the seizures worsening, we're finally seeing significant improvement for him, and quality of life for all of us. Thank you so much, and I am so grateful to have found you" - Janice
